The reason I chose Wordpress
My first blogging experience was on Blogger platform. It was highly recommended by my friends, off line and online. After all it was just for personal blogging. My needs were fulfilled at that time.
But when it came to using it for serious blogging, it became a risky business. You say that there are a lot of people making money from blogger blogs. Yeah that is right. But there were a few disadvantages like..( at the time I was using, maybe 2 years back)
- Blogger does not support categories but labels can be applied to the posts
- Many of my friends have lost their blogs without any reason
There are many others, but these were the ones that made change my blog, especially the second reason. How would you feel if you worked hard to maintain a blog and then one day it suddenly disappears.
Yeah I know, it is so frustrating. Anyway that was the time I heard about Wordpress. And I used Wordpress.com for a 6 months period to get the feel of the place.
After months of searching, finally I found a free hosting site for my Wordpress blog till I will be able to afford paid hosting.
The advantages of using Wordpress are many. The ones I like so much are…
